Hello from Shanghai

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that we have completed the cruise down the Yangtze river through the famous gorges. Unfortunately, by the end of the month the water level will rise to 175 meters. It is currently at 155 meters, and was much, much lower before. The project has been monumental, including the resettlement of more than a million people. We saw the Three Gorges dam project today as the last excursion from the ship. It is amazing but even when it completed it will only provide 1% of the power for China! It is the third largest dam in the world. We just arrived in Shanghai and I am really looking forward to coming home. This is a wonderful four star hotel. Love, Mom

wow only 1% that's crazy but it beats coal plants right. Everything is good (quiet) here. Hope all is well and continues, see you soon.
